This Privacy Policy describes how we, Danylo Stepanov, the individual developer and publisher of the BudgetPro mobile application (“App”), collect, use, and protect your information. We are committed to respecting your privacy and complying with applicable data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Scope of this Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to all users of the BudgetPro app, whether used offline (without an account) or with an account.

By proceeding past the initial screen of the App, you confirm that you have read and agreed to this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Data We Collect

a. Offline Use (No Account)

When using the App in offline mode, we do not collect any personal information. However, we may collect the following anonymous data to improve app performance and stability:

  • App usage statistics (e.g., screen views, session duration)

  • Crash reports (that may include device model, OS version, and other tech parameters used for crash analytics and performance debugging).

    These are collected via our internal analytics modules, Google Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics, and cannot be linked back to any specific person.

b. Online Use (With Account)

When you create an account and enable server synchronization, we collect and store the following data:

Personal Data:

  • Email address (used for login, password recovery, and important account-related messages)
  • IP address (collected for security monitoring and abuse prevention)

User-entered Financial Data:

  • Wallets
  • Transactions
  • Budgets
  • Categories

This information is not linked to real banks or accounts, and is fully controlled by you.

Device Information (Anonymous):

Device model, OS version (used for crash analytics and performance debugging)

3. Data Storage and Hosting

  • All user data is securely stored on hosting servers located in the Netherlands.
  • Analytics and crash data are handled by Google Firebase and Google Analytics, which may store data in accordance with their own privacy policies.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

  • Anonymous data collected via Firebase and Google Analytics is retained for up to 90 days and cannot be deleted upon request, as it is not linked to an identifiable user.
  • Personal account data (email, synced financial data) is retained as long as your account exists.
  • You may request full deletion of your account and/or associated data using the “Delete Account” option available in the app’s profile settings, or by contacting: support@leronov.com. Deletion is permanent and data cannot be restored later.

We may retain certain non-personal data where required by law or for the security of our systems.

Please note that accounts may also be deleted due to prolonged inactivity, as described in Section 10 Inactive Accounts and Data Retention of this Privacy Policy.

5. User Rights (Under GDPR and Other Laws)

You have the right to:

  • Access your data
  • Correct your data
  • Export your data (by emailing us)
  • Delete your account and all associated data
  • Withdraw consent to marketing communications at any time

6. Analytics and Tracking

We use:

  • Firebase Crashlytics (to track and fix errors)
  • Google Analytics (to understand user behavior and improve the App)
  • Our own secure logging system (to monitor feature usage and enhance user experience)

No personally identifiable information is stored in these systems without your consent.

7. No Ads

We do not display third-party ads or use advertising SDKs in the App. We respect your privacy and avoid sharing your data with advertisers.

8. Email and Marketing Communications

We may use your email and in-app push notifications to send you:

  • Account-related messages (e.g., password reset, terms updates)
  • Optional promotional or product-related updates (only with your consent)

You can manage marketing preferences within the App or unsubscribe via links in any promotional email.

9. Security Measures

We implement strict security practices to protect your data, including:

  • Encrypted communication using HTTPS
  • Encrypted password storage (we cannot see your password)
  • Regular library and dependency updates
  • Authentication via email and password

10. Inactive Accounts and Data Retention

To optimize system performance and manage server resources, we reserve the right to permanently delete accounts and associated synchronized data that we deem inactive.

We define inactivity at our sole discretion and may consider factors such as prolonged periods of no usage or lack of synchronization activity. However, accounts with active Premium status or recent activity will not be subject to deletion under this policy.

Before any deletion of data due to inactivity, we will send an email notice to the registered address, providing sufficient time for the user to export or back up their data. If the user does not act within the provided time frame, the account and all synchronized data may be permanently removed from our servers.

This policy does not apply to users who use the app offline without synchronization, as no personal data is stored on our servers in such cases.

11. International Users & Legal Compliance

We are based in Slovakia (EU) and comply fully with the GDPR and other relevant data protection laws.

12. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Updates will be published on this page. You may request email notification of changes by contacting us at support@leronov.com.
